Sunday Night Kangaroo Flat Group

Our group meets each Sunday night at St Marys where we share our experience, strength and hope with each other to encourage and maintain recovery from our alcoholism. The exception is the first Sunday monthly, when we conduct a Traditions Meeting, discussing one of the AA Traditions, examining how they maintain the Fellowship of AA as a living entity, and their significance in our personal recovery.

Our meetings begin with the reading of the AA Preamble, the Singleness of Purpose Statement and an excerpt from Chapter 5 of the Big Book, commonly referred to as "How it Works". We conclude at 9.30pm with a reading from "Daily Reflections" and the Serenity Prayer.

Our Group Conscience meeting is held at 7pm on the last Sunday of the month, to which any member is welcome - our group offers temporary sponsorship to the newer member.

The Group celebrates its anniversary on the last Sunday in September, a two hour meeting commencing at 7pm, to which we invite and welcome members of Al-anon, the professional community and observers, and at which our group office bearers are rotated.
